was referred to Simon by a musician friend of mine when I was having trouble with my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amplifier. I reached out, and he told me to bring it by the next day. After diagnosing the issue, he told me where I could get a cheap replacement part, and when it arrived in the mail, he installed the new part the same day. Very friendly, professional, and affordable. I would recommend his services to anyone in need of guitar or amp repair.

Simon did an amazing job setting both my 6 string Ibanez bass and my PRS Custom 24. He is very knowledgeable in his craft and pays close attention to detail. The action, neck and pickup adjustments he made were spot on! They both feel and play even better than before! I will definitely be coming back to him with more of my guitars!

Simon did a terrific job of giving my 1950s Gibson ES175 a bunch of well needed and deserved attention. He listened to my ramblings and is great at communicating and explaining what he thought was needed and also recommended important things we hadn’t even spoken about once he was in the repair. I got much more than I hoped for and I thought his fees were very reasonable for such a great experience. It’s a pleasure playing this instrument now and Simon deserves all the credit.

Simon ordered the part to my fender practice amp and notified me when it arrived and setup a time for me to bring my amp by for repairs. He is a friendly person who is super easy to converse with. Deal with Simon Hall with confidence. Excellent customer service, reasonable prices and very knowledgeable in his craft.

Simon was highly recommended to me by a friend, and as it turns out SIMON IS AN ABSOLUTE GEM. Super personable, super knowledgable. A joy to chat with. I felt completely comfortable leaving my preciousss in his care, and I could not be happier with the work that he did. You know how you can tell when food is made with love?? I am quite certain that my bb Jaguar was serviced with love.
Also--I dragged in a bass amp for what turned out to be an issue with an instrument cable [face palm]. At no point did this lovely man cause me to feel like a moron, and he even opened up a cable to show me how this type of wiring issue might occur. One bazillion percent will be going back to Simon with any guitar/amp/pedal needs that pop up.

If they had 6 stars - that's what I would give Simon .I needed a pot rewired ( after my attempt to repair failed! ) Simon upgraded the pot and did a total set up on the guitar.(Fender Thinline Tele with P-90's). I didn't realize how badly the set up and neck adjustment was needed until I got home and played it. Totally different guitar !! I live over an hour away and Simon offered to do the work right away so I could pick it up later that day. He saved me a 2 hour trip !!! He will be seeing a few more of my guitars in the future for needed tweeking. Simon definitely knows "his stuff" and is incredibly reasonable on his charges.

Simon did a awesome job setting up my 2 guitars. He performed miracle by pulling a dent out the neck of my schecter. Both guitars play so smooth. Simon is really easy to talk to and he will setup your guitar to your liking. His prices are more than reasonable and the turn around time is very fast. I would recommend Simon to anyone that wants their guitars setup or repaired. I will be taking my guitars to him from now on. Could not ask for a better experience!

I was fortunate enough to employ the services of Simon Hall, Luthier ,to install a K & K Pure Mini pick up into my Martin 00-21 12 fret Custom. Simon was kind enough to clean and oil the fretboard and polish the guitar body as well. The installation was extremely professional and the guitar works perfectly and plays perfectly. the turnaround time was one day and the price extremely reasonable. Simon is based in Varina , Va and I highly recommend his services.

I took my vintage Vox Bass amp to Simon to see if he could get rid of an odd noise that it was making. Not only did he find the problem, he was able to fix it and get the amp sounding great again! While I didn’t really stress that I was pressed for time, He got the amp back to me the very next day! I will definitely be using the services of Simon Hall Guitars again!

Simon did an amazing job bringing my 67’ Teisco guitar back to life. It was nearly impossible to play and now it’s like I have a new guitar. He lowered the action, fixed the truss rod to straighten the neck, and fixed the zero fret. He restrung it correctly and now it’s so much easier to play. I highly recommend his work, plus he’s really cool and cares about your instrument and how it works best for YOU!

Simon fixed up my ric bass pretty nice. replaced nut and fined tuned action and intonation after having been in an alternate tuning for years. He considers every detail, cleaned up finger board, and had excellent product recommendations (if needed). A cool gearhead dude and quick with a joke to boot!
